About Jorinde

"I work by balancing harmony and contrast."

Hi! My name is Jorinde.

I'm a photographer from Amsterdam. I'm obsessed with photography and capturing golden light. I have a background in event and portrait photography. Alongside my work as a founder, photography is a passion I continue to pursue selectively.

I work by balancing harmony and contrast. My work has warm tones, dreamy, natural scenes, and soft golden light. To create my specific look, I work with low F stops and photograph early or late in the day, never at noon. To enhance the colours, I created specific colour grading settings that give the photos these warm, rich tones.

Thoughts on editing.

"If it makes you you, it's beautiful."

Although I love moody and dreamy edits, I'm always careful with Photoshop. My rule: if it makes you you, it's beautiful (and it stays). This means I don't mind editing out that pimple you got just before the shoot or slightly cleaning up the eyes and skin, but I want you to look like you.

I like skin texture, and I definitely like your face shape. I want you to feel great in pictures of you. That represent only you.

"Jorinde took me under her wing and made me feel at ease during the photoshoot. This allowed her to capture me in a very natural way. I am very satisfied with the result and have received several compliments on the photos!"

Sophie

"Jorinde is great at finding the most beautiful backgrounds in the most common of places. During the shoot for new portraits, the pictures turned out to be brilliant. Being at ease makes your pictures turn out way better, and I can use these photos happily for all sorts of situations in both my professional and personal life."

"Although I had never stood in front of the camera before, Jorinde knew how to respond to this flawlessly. She asked what kind of photos I wanted and then guided me through her process, making me feel truly seen and heard. As a result, I felt much more at ease during the shoot, resulting in natural and authentic photos."
